Good Luck Yolaine!

Yolaine (on the right) with colleagues Andrea Dawes and Rick Goldman

Our cherished colleague, Me Yolaine Williams, has left MCM to work at the Human Rights Commission.
Though very sad to see her go, we wish Yolaine all the best in this new chapter of her career.

Yolaine first came to MCM six years ago as a student, and then returned to work at our Just Solutions Legal Info and Accompaniment Clinic. Her dedication, professionalism and compassion for the people we serve, have always been an example for her students and colleagues alike.

In addition to a heavy case load, Yolaine also played an active role in our community networks, most notably in the newly formed  coalition of non profit legal clinics, and in efforts to ensure non status children the right to attend school.

Yolaine personifies the best in her profession as well as the MCM values of compassion, hospitality and justice. We have no doubt that she will continue to make an important contribution to the field of law, human rights and access to justice.

Yolaine - ce n'est pas adieu - ce n'est qu'un au revoir. Bonne chance!

Go! Habs! Go!

That’s the refrain that young Mathis has been chanting ever since he realized the dream of his life – to attend a hockey match last December.

Thanks to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, Mathis along with 6 other youngsters, were invited as VIP guests to the Bell Center, and given supper as they cheered on the Habs.
Mathis’ mother told us that after the game he slept with his Canadian’s name label under his pillow!

Many thanks to Sylvie Nadeau, of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, for giving these young kids an experience of a lifetime.

Go! Habs! Go!
